City Centre Alexandria brings happiness to children as it celebrates National Orphan's Day

City Centre Alexandria, Majid Al Futtaim's shopping mall in the coastal city, invites 100 orphans to spend the day experiencing the mall's various offerings

Majid Al Futtaim, the leading shopping mall, communities, retail and leisure pioneer across the Middle East, Africa and Asia, celebrated Orphan's Day by inviting 100 orphans from El Balsam El Shafy organization on April 2 to enjoy an exclusive day at City Centre Alexandria. The children enjoyed a tailored agenda that included exploring the mall's entertainment facilities and diverse F&B selection, and were accompanied by employee volunteers from Majid Al Futtaim in a heart-warming event.

City Centre Alexandria collaborated with 13 of the mall's tenants as well as the Alexandria Scooter Riders club to provide the children with a memorable, inclusive experience that instilled happiness in their hearts. The children started off the day with breakfast at Carrefour, before heading to Magic Planet and Gravity Code for added enjoyment, followed by face painting and an outdoor photo session. With VOX Cinemas providing the public with unmatched entertainment and a well-rounded movie experience, the children got to exclusively discover VOX, before being gifted with giveaways before their departure.

Commenting on the initiative, Rasha Azab, Acting Managing Director of West Region Shopping Malls at Majid Al Futtaim — Properties, noted: “Our mission to create great moments for everyone, every day is at the heart of everything we do at Majid Al Futtaim. With the approach of Ramadan, we are all reminded of our role as responsible members of the community, and are dedicated to giving back to the local society whenever and however possible. It is moving to see our community come together to share our time and passion with the future generation."

She added: "This day is one we have been celebrating at City Centre Alexandria for over 16 years by hosting NGOs and orphanages at our mall, and we take pride in our commitment to uplifting the children by dedicating a special day to showcase our gratitude towards them. We hope to continue striving for and being a part of positive memories and moments for the Egyptian population."
